Duration: Rough Terrain Telescopic Truck Training depends on type requested

Types of Training: Novice, Experienced, Conversion or Refresher

Delegates: Up to 3 people max

Location: Company Site Only

Rough Terrain Categories Covered: J1, J2, J3, J4

Certification: Delegates receive an AITT Accredited Rough Terrain Telescopic Truck Certificate.

The Training Covers:

  • Rough Terrain Telescopic Truck operator safety including legal compliance.
  • LOLER and PUWER regulations.
  • How to complete pre-use inspection, including fault reporting procedures.
  • Starting, moving and stopping the truck.
  • The functions of the lift truck and the rated capacity plate.
  • Control and Instruments.
  • Steering the truck including, around tight spaces.
  • Load Stability and weight assessment.
  • Stacking and de stacking, in racking and free standing.
  • Loading and unloading an lorry.
  • Operating the forklift on inclines.
  • Handling Laden and unladen pallets.
  • Onsite training with workplace familiarisation.
  • The operation of hydraulics controls.

Types of Training:

Novice Training: Is for individuals who have no experience of operating a forklift truck.
3 days for 1 delegate max
4 days for 2 delegates max
5 days for 3 delegates max

Experienced Training: Is for individuals who are regularly operating a forklift without a certification or the certificate is over 5 years.

Refresher Training: Is for individuals looking to refresher current skills. The certification must be within 5 years.

Conversion Training: Is for individuals who are looking to gain training on a different truck, converting from one truck to another. The forklift certification must be within 5 years.
