Course: Paediatric First Aid Training
Duration: 2 days training course
Delegates: Up to 12 people max
Location: It can be held at your Company Site or here at Milne Safety
Certification: Delegates will receive a certificate for FAA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid, which is valid for three years from the date of achievement.
The Course Covered:
This Paediatric First Aid training is suitable for individuals and organistions working in the childcare sector. The training provides delegates with all the relevant knowledge and skills to deal with a range of paediatric first aid conditions and incidents. The Paediatric First Aid training fulfils the requirements for first aid training detailed in the Department for Education’s statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

- The responsibilities regarding the role of the Paediatric First Aider
- Conducting a primary survey
- The resuscitation procedure
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) awareness
- Ho to deal with wounds and bleeding
- How to treat for shock and a seizure
- What to do when choking
- How to treat minor injuries
- The recovery position
- How to treat fractures and foreign bodies
- How to deal with Asthma
- What to do with diabetes emergencies
- Meningitis and Febrile convulsions
- Extreme cold and heat
- Electrical incidents
