This is true, as a multidirectional truck is also commonly known to as a Combilift (or “combi lift”). It is named after Combilift, the pioneering manufacturer that first commercialized the all-wheel-drive multidirectional forklift in 1998.
The Combilift forklift is a unique and specialised truck – a multi-directional material handling vehicle, which combines the functions of a standard counterbalance forklift, a narrow aisle truck, and a side loader.
Yes, when we complete onsite training we would be required to use the truck and equipment at your premises. We normally require adequate room for practical truck training and a room for the theory and presentation.
We are based in Wymondham, but travel throughout Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. If the location is further there maybe an additional cost.
If the instructor is booked to complete forklift novice training at your site we recommend that you have a suitable area for turning and a number of loads to lift. This ensures the delegates are able to practice all the requirements outlined in the novice training.
Below is a list of days and maximum number of delegates for each training as outlined by the AITT the accredited body.
Novice Training:
3 days for 1 delegate max
4 days for 2 delegates max
5 days for 3 delegates max
Experienced Training:
2 days for 2 delegates max
3 days for 3 delegates max
Refresher Training:
1 day for 3 delegates max
Conversion Training: depends on the truck across over
1 day for 3 delegates max
2 days for 3 delegates max
Safety Tips
- Always wear the seat belt on the forklift and check for any damage
- Never lift unsecured or unsafe loads
- Always be aware of any pedestrians when operating the forklift
- When travelling with a load on an incline always have the load facing uphill
