Course: First Aid for Mental Health Training
Duration: 1 day training course
Delegates: Up to 16 people max

Certification: Delegates will receive a certificate for an Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health.
The Course Covers:
This NUCO accredited training course covers basic understanding of what is first aid for mental health, the knowledge for supporting colleagues in the workplace, including exploring the effects of drugs and alcohol on the body. The training also incorporates the preparation of an first aid for mental health action plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace.
Once completed the certification is valid for three years.

- What is First Aid for Mental Health?
- Identifying mental health conditions.
- Providing advice and starting a conversation.
- Stress.
- Mental health conditions.
- Drugs and alcohol.
- First Aid for Mental Health action plan.
- First Aid for Mental Health in the workplace.
Assessment – A range of methods are used, including practical and questioning (open and multiple-choice).
