Course: Emergency First Aid at Work Training
Duration: 1 day training course
Delegates: Up to 12 people max
Location: It can be held at your Company Site or see our open courses at Milne Safety
Certification: Delegates will receive a certificate for FAA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work – which is valid for three years from the date of achievement.
The Course Covers:
This Emergency First Aid at Work course will provide the delegates with all the relevant skills and knowledge to ensure your organisation has a qualified Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to potential casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner. As under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations, employers are required to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, personnel and facilities, to ensure that all employees can receive immediate attention if an injury occurs.
Assessment Information: This course provides practical assessment which is ongoing by the NUCO trainer. Once the training is completed a three year qualification will be issued to those who satisfy the criteria. Following the training the HSE strongly recommend that all delegates complete an Annual First Aid Refresher Course which takes 1/2 a day.

- The First Aiders responsibilities
- What is involved in the reporting of at incident
- Assessment of the situation
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Basic hygiene in First Aid
- The resuscitation procedure
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) awareness
- How to treat Minor injuries
- How to control bleeding
- How to treat burns
- What to do when choking
- What to do regarding epilepsy
