Location: At your Company Site or Milne Safety.
Who should attend: This training course is for individuals responsible for compiling COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) Assessments.
The Course Covers:
Many materials or substances which are used in the workplace can or may harm your employees health. These substances can include dusts, gases, mists or fumes that individuals can breathe in. Also liquids, gels or powders that come into contact with a person’s eyes or skin. Another consideration could be harmful micro-organisms present that can potentially cause infection and/or an allergic reaction or are toxic.
Harmful substances are present in many substances from paints, oils, greases, glues cleaners to flour dust, welding fume, Metal working fluid mist or waste.
The law requires employers to ensure adequate control exposure for hazards substances and materials in the workplace and avoiding any potential ill health. Our course is designed give delegates the understanding of how to carry out a COSHH Assessment and it covers the following areas,

- Defining Hazardous Substances
- Health Hazardous Substances
- Looking at Hazard Identification Symbols
- EH40 – Explaining Workplace Exposure Limits
- Identification process of certain labels
- Safety Material and Safety Datasheets
- Health surveillance relating to the use of substances
- Compiling a C.O.S.H.H Assessment
- Control measures and best practice
- Monitoring exposure from the substances
