Testing Details:

Milne Safety can provide one to one audiometric hearing tests, conducted by our qualified hearing specialist. Our Audiometric Van which comprises of an HSE approved audio sound booth can be at your company site.

Duration: 1/2 day or 1 day testing for group testing

Location: Testing can be completed at your Company Site or for smaller numbers of employees at our open days at Milne Safety.

Requirements of Audiometric Hearing Testing: 

  • Audiometric testing is recommended for individuals exposed to noise on a daily basis. It forms part of the company’s Control of Noise at Work regulations 2005 duty of care.
  • Employers as part of the company’s health surveillance risk assessment, are required to conduct suitable audiometric hearing testing, if the for employees are regularly exposed to noise levels at or above the upper exposure action value (85 dB(A)).
  • Its is recommended that an initial baseline audiometric testing is conducted when employees start work and will be exposed to significant noise levels.
  • Audiometric testing is recommended annually for the first two years and then every three years if no issues are detected.
