Course: Basic Life Support & Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Duration: 1/2 day first aid training course
Delegates: Up to 12 people max
Location: It can be held at your Company Site or here at Milne Safety
Certification: Delegates will receive a certificate for FAA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) first aid – which is valid for three years from the date of achievement.
The Course Covers:
This first aid training offers delegates a practical approach regarding how to use the Automated External Defibrillators (AED) with competence and confidence. Along with learning how to use a AED it also includes vital training in basic life support.
Heart and circulatory disease claims around 200,000 lives each year. Many could have been saved if a defibrillator was made available. AED’s are now becoming more common throughout a range of public and work places and s casualty’s survival rate will dramatically increase if an AED is available and if you have appropriately qualified personnel to use it.

- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Resuscitation
- Defibrillation procedures
- Assessment of the situation
- Infection control
