Who should attend: individual involved in moving objects by manual means, whether they are office workers, warehouse operatives or casual labour.

The Course Covers:

This practical Manual Handling course teaches and demonstrates delegates to lift loads correctly, avoid injury and explains their legal responsibilities. It also helps delegates to understand their own capabilities to safely carry out moving tasks.

It’s important that those workers who lift objects in and around the work place are suitably trained in safe practice so as to avoid injury as a consequence of lifting.

• Types of injuries suffered as a result of incorrect manual handling.
• How to carry out simple weight assessment techniques.
• The correct method of moving objects.
• To recognise mechanical aids that can assist you.
• Practical training to fully understand capabilities and safe practice.
• Theory test.
