Who would benefit from the course?

All persons whose Health and Safety is exposed by having to work at heights.

Course Objectives

To Provide delegates with sufficient information for them to understand the hazards associated with working at heights and to have effective safe systems of work in place.

During the course, the followinf elements will be covered:

• Working at Heights Regulations and relevant legislation
• See a training DVD and complete a test paper
• The course will be tailored to their particular needs, i.e. ladder safety, mobile elevating platforms, tower scaffold and use of harnesses
• Practical Training
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment

• Selecting the right equipment
• Obligatoins of Employers and Employees
• Risk assessment
• Participants will carry out practical work relevant to equipment being used on the course

Signaller Course

Who would benefit from the course?

Anyone involved in Slinging Loads on site.

Course Objectives

Slinging of loads techniques and correct selection of equipment.

What is the Legal Requirement?

The employer must provide adequate information, instruction and training for employees, see The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The Rider Operated Forklift Truck Approved Code of Practice 1999 requires training to be provided, this should encompass basic training, specific jobtraining and familiarisation training.

Work Platforms (non-integrated) on Forklift

This course is suitable for personnel who operate Forklift Trucks and have to elevate persons working from work platforms attached to Forklift Trucks

During this course, the following elements will be covered:-

• Working at Heights regulations and associated legislation
• See a training DVD and complete a test paper
• Working platform daily inspection and documentation
• Practical training
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment including harnesses.
• Safe systems at work

Training Course

Who would benefit from the course?

Anyone responsible for overseeing fire safety, nominated Fire Marshal and anyone who needs to know how to operate a Fire Extinguisher.

To gain an overall knowledge of the responsibilities held by a fire marshal.

Handling Course

What is the Legal Requirement?

It is a statutory duty for employers to carry out Manual Handling assessments, but when possible avoid the need to carry out Manual Handling by mechanising or automating.

Who would benefit from this course?

Anyone involved in moving objects by manual means, whether they are office workers, warehouse operatives or casual labour. Everyone in the workplace should be trained in Manual Handling Techniques

During the course, the following elements wil be covered:

To teach delegates how to move loads correctly. To demonstrate how back injuries can be eliminated. Demonstrate exercises that can assist you in keeping your back in shape. Know what weights can be moved by men and women.

Course Objectives

To have an appreciation of Abrasive Wheel Safety and Mounting Techniques.
